Jig Star evolved after its founder and acclaimed jigging expert Chris Wong in New Zealand had spent many years Jigging with some of the world’s most renowned big fish anglers. Hundreds of hours were spent testing products on ridiculous sized yellowtail kingfish and humungous sized hapuka. The Ninja features a blank made from High Performance Carbon Nano Graphite from Toray, Japan. The Ninja Rod series is available in four threadline and four overhead models so they have all jig classes covered. The Overhead rod features our standard specifications including Fuji PSS Reel Seat with the latest ALPS SSMNZG Guides, whist the threadline series feature Fuji K Frame Alconite Guide and custom componentry. To avoid “dead spots” caused by excessive binding, all Jig Star rods are bound on the Guide feet and nothing between. This feature maintains the Blanks natural curve and sensitivity. The increased length offers a longer butt length and longer reach than before yet still saves weight making Jig Star rods easy to fish all day, every day.
